Misty Odell is an American singer-songwriter residing in Los Angeles, California. At age 4, having received the first of her many guitars, Misty unknowingly began her journey into the world of songwriting and performing. Misty took guitar lessons for 6 months around age 8, and again at age 12 - after that, it was all basketball.
As a young girl, Misty excelled at athletics and would eventually earn a basketball scholarship to Nebraska's, Chadron State College. Upon graduatingwith a BA in Criminal Justice, Misty went back to Denver where she earned a spot playing tight-end for the Colorado Valkyries, a western conference team in the newly formed WPFL (Women's Professional Football League). After working over 5 years in Colorado's youth corrections programs, a few years of professional football, and a handful of local gigs, Misty recorded her first album (self-titled 'Misty Odell') and made her way from Denver to Los Angeles, to pursue her music.
Upon landing in LA, Misty recorded 'The Couch Sessions' - a 10-song album of organic acoustic songs. In February 2015, Misty released her third album "The Struggle" - an innovative compilation of powerful string arrangements, driving rhythms, and heartfelt lyrics. The album features electric and acoustic guitars, horns, bass, drums, piano, cellos, violins, and synthesizers - all contributions of some of California's best touring and studio musicians.
Since the release of 'The Struggle', Misty has gigged in over 16 countries, is currently working on her 4th studio album, and began her dream career in 2019, working as an assistant music editor for tv & film.
